Doing stunts on public roads is an offense, and we have mentioned this several times on our website. In the past, we have come across various incidents where cops have nabbed offenders and issued fines. One of the recent reports comes from Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, where a student was nabbed by the cops for doing stunts in his dad’s car. Like in most recent stunt cases we have come across, the guy in this case was also recording a video for social media. Once the video went viral, many people raised complaints on social media platforms.

Once the video went viral, and people started complaining, traffic police took note of the car and traced down the owner’s details. When the officers were trying to figure out the details and issue a challan for performing stunts on public roads, they noticed something about the car.

They found out that this was not the first time the car was breaking a rule. For the recent stunt video, the traffic police were issuing a Rs. 33,000 challan, but when they filled in the vehicle details, they found that the vehicle already had a pending challan worth Rs. 1.33 lakh.

The red-colored Hyundai i20 Elite hatchback had violated rules and was issued challans 15 times in the year 2019. The owner of the car did not pay the fines and was using the car on the road, continuing to break more rules. After the department came to know about the pending challans, the officers took action against the driver and the vehicle. They seized the vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as Shyamveer, a resident of Kambakshpur village in Greater Noida.

In the video that has gone viral on the internet, Shyamveer is seen performing stunts using his father’s Hyundai i20 Elite premium hatchback. Other than arresting the person and seizing the vehicle, the department is now working on suspending the registration and license of the car and driver. Cops have already initiated the process and requested the transport department for the same.

There are reports that suggest that the person driving the car is a Class 10 student, and there is confusion regarding his age as his driving license shows his age as 19 years. To confirm, these documents will also be verified. If the person driving the vehicle is underage, action would be taken against the owner of the vehicle, and an investigation will be started to know how the student got a fake driving license. As of now, the traffic police have filed a case for creating a nuisance on public roads.

Roads are public places, and they are not a spot for performing stunts. By doing such stunts on public roads, the driver is putting his life and the lives of other road users at risk. We have seen several incidents in the past where cops have issued challans against social media influencers for creating inconvenience to other road users. If you really want to perform stunts, it is better to do it in a controlled environment like a race track or a private property.
