Tata Punch

The micro SUV from Tata Motors is one of the safest vehicles in the country. G-NCAP stated that Tata Punch scored 16.45 out of 17 in the adult safety rating. For child safety, the Punch scored 40.89 out of 49. The Punch scored better than three other 5-star GNCAP-rated cars sold in India – the Tata Altroz, the Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV300.

Renault Triber

The car that was tested by ASEAN NCAP was the Indonesian-spec of the Nissan Magnite although the rating for the Indian car will remain same as the Indonesian model is made in India and is exported from here. The Nissan Magnite scored 39.02 points in Adult Occupant Protection and 16.31 points for Child Occupant Protection. The Safety Assist category of the new sub-4m compact SUV is 15.28 points. In total, the Magnite scored 70.60 points.

Renault Kiger

The mechanical twin of the Nissan Magnite, the Renault Kiger, debuted in March 2021. The Kiger, like its sibling, gets a 4-star safety rating from Global NCAP, mostly because to its robust architecture and excellent CMFA+ platform. Global NCAP assessed the Kiger’s entry-level model, which includes two front airbags and ABS. Overall, the test revealed that the building was unsteady and that the driver had very mediocre chest protection.

Mahindra Thar 2WD

Honda Jazz

The premium hatchback Honda Jazz received a total of four stars for collision safety. Out of a possible 17, the vehicle had a total score of 13.89. The Global NCAP awarded 31.54 out of a possible 49 points for kid safety. The Jazz also provides good safety for the co-driver and acceptable safety for the driver’s head and chest. The footwell region, body shell construction, and other important components are assessed as stable.

Tata Tiago

Another Tata Motors hatchback on this list the Tata Tiago which managed to attain a score of 4-star rating. As per Global NCAP, the car offers ‘adequate’ protection to the head of the driver and the front passenger. Also, both the front occupants benefited from good protection from the tech at the time of crash test.

Tata Tigor

With a Global NCAP rating of 4 stars in the adult protection category, Tata Motors sub-compact sedan the Tigor managed to sit beside its hatchback sibling the Tiago in terms of safety rating. According to the results of the crash test organzied by the G-NCAP, the Tigor provided excellent front occupant protection, but only fair chest protection for the driver and passenger.
