Actor & car enthusiast Dulquer Salmaan buys Ultraviolette electric sportsbike [Video]

Popular Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan is well-known for his love of cars and bikes. Recently, he revealed that he is associated with the electric vehicle manufacturer Ultraviolette. Although he has a variety of cars and SUVs in his garage, until recently he did not have an electric vehicle. Last October, Dulquer released a short video on his YouTube channel announcing that the Ultraviolette F77 would be his first electric vehicle. The brand began delivering the bikes last month and Dulquer kept his promise by recently taking delivery of his limited edition F77 electric sportsbike.

Ultravioltte Automotive recently inaugurated its first dealership in Bengaluru, which they call the Ultraviolette Hangar or UVH-01 for short. The actor attended the showroom’s inauguration ceremony and also took delivery of the first bike, a limited edition motorcycle with the number 001 on it. An Instagram reel circulating on the internet shows Dulquer standing next to the bike, which is covered with a cloth. In just a few seconds, he unveils the sportsbike and begins talking to the people who have gathered.

The actor seems very excited as he has been associated with the brand from the start and has seen how the motorcycle has been developed from scratch. Along with Dulquer, many other customers also took delivery of their Ultraviolette F77 motorcycle. Ultraviolette launched its first product, the F77 electric bike, in the market last year. The TVS-backed electric motorcycle manufacturer launched its first product with a starting price of Rs 3.8 lakh (e-showroom). Ultraviolette electric motorcycles are special in more ways than one.

The first thing that stands out about the sportsbike is its design. It looks extremely aggressive, futuristic, and bold, almost like a racing bike. People would definitely notice it on the road. The motorcycle is feature-loaded and is also known as an electric sports bike. The F77 Ultraviolette offers the longest riding range in the country, with a certified riding range of 307 km with fully charged batteries.

The top-spec Ultraviolette F77 Airstrike variant gets an electric motor rated at 40.4 Bhp-100 Nm and can do the 0-100 Kph sprint in 7.8 seconds, while 0-60 Kmph comes up in 2.9 seconds. Top speed stands at 152 Kmph. The mid Laser trim makes 38.9 Bhp-95 Nm, can hit 100 Kph from standstill in 8 seconds, has a top speed of 147 Kmph, and can do the 0-60 Kph sprint in 3.1 seconds. The base Shadow trim makes 36.2 Bhp-85 Nm, hits a top speed of 140 Kph, and can sprint from 0-60 Kmph and 0-100 Kmph in 3.4 seconds and 8.3 seconds, respectively. The limited edition motorcycle that Dulquer bought is probably based on the top-end Airstrike variant.

The Ultraviolette F77 comes with features such as active cooling for the battery pack, LED headlamp, tail lamp, and turn indicators, upside-down front forks, monoshock rear suspension (both adjustable for preload), disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-channel ABS. It also gets a large colour TFT display as an instrument cluster, 3 riding modes, integrated e-SIM with connectivity features, 9-axis IMU, shock and impact sensors, and so on.
