The Mahindra Scorpio brand has emerged as a clear winner among its similarly-priced rival SUVs, including Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar, thanks to its outstanding performance in March 2023. Not only has it surpassed its equally-popular stablemate, the Mahindra XUV700, but it has also outsold all of its competitors.

One year ago, in March 2022, Mahindra sold 6,061 units of the Scorpio Classic, which was the only version of Scorpio available at that time. However, with the introduction of the Scorpio-N, Mahindra has witnessed a significant growth in sales numbers, registering a year-on-year growth of 44.99% for the Scorpio nameplate. Moreover, in February 2023, Mahindra sold a combined total of 6,950 units of both versions, representing a month-on-month growth of 26.45%.

The launch of Scorpio-N has contributed to the increase in sales volume of the Scorpio brand, making it more popular than ever. As a result, Mahindra has managed to create a waiting period of up to 20 months for both the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio-N, indicating the immense popularity of the SUV brand in India.
