Mahindra has truly benefited from the SUV craze in the country. It has skyrocketed in sales with the XUV700 and Scorpio-N. Still, Mahindra’s next SUV will be the biggest in its lineup. Which SUV are we talking about? It is the Bolero Neo Plus, a 9-seater version of the Bolero Neo. Some new updates have popped up regarding its launch. New update
Recently the Bolero Neo Plus was spotted testing in Pune without any camouflage. In these spy shots, the front of the car didn’t have any major changes. It did have a covered logo, which could be the new twin peaks logo. From the sides, it is pretty clear that we have the third row with an extended look. At the rear, we have a more rounded design with a different bumper design. It retains the tailgate-mounted spare tyre design from the Bolero Neo.
Biggest Mahindra SUV – Specifications
The Bolero Neo Plus will need a bigger engine than the Bolero Neo. So it could come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine like the Scorpio and XUV700. However, this will be a different tune capable of producing 130bhp & 300Nm of torque. Like the Bolero Neo, it will sadly miss out on an automatic gearbox option. It could also get the MTT technology for a bit of off-roading capabilities.
Features
The interior layout of the Bolero Neo Plus will be more or less similar to the Bolero Neo. So we could see the beige interiors with hump seats in the third row. What about features? It could get 7.0-inch infotainment, engine start-stop, manual air conditioning, all power windows etc. In terms of safety, it could get dual airbags and ABS standard.

The Bolero Neo Plus was put on hold by the brand as the car was not even spotted testing anywhere in the country. However, recently, the Bolero Neo Plus was spotted again reigniting the expectations of its launch. We expect Mahindra to launch the Bolero Neo Plus by the end of this year. What about the pricing? The Bolero Neo Plus is expected to start from Rs 12 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
